"Equal Justice Under Law" is the promise on the portals of the Supreme Court building. Court sessions begin the first Monday in October and continue two weeks per month through April. Courtroom seats are available to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis when the Court is in session. Twenty-minute courtroom lectures are available every hour on the half-hour when the Court is not in session. Group tours are available and must be made in advance.
Tour Summary: A courtroom lecture features the functions of the Supreme Court and the architecture of the Supreme Court Building. Guests may also visit exhibits and the theater.

Reserved lectures (requested and scheduled through my office):
Restrictions: Tour groups may not exceed 6 people.
Availability: Monday through Friday at 2pm when the court is not sitting
Tour Request Deadline: At least one week before the desired tour date. (I encourage you to submit your request as early as possible since a limited number of tours are available and tours are scheduled on a first come, first served basis.)
Public courtroom lectures:
Availability: Monday through Friday at 9:30 am, 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm, and 3:30 pm. The lecture schedule is subject to change based upon the court schedule.
Procedures: No reservations are accepted. Admission is on a first-come first-serve basis. Guests should line up on the Front Plaza of the Supreme Court Building. Call (202) 479-3211 for updates on the court schedule.
