Statement by Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) on the Shooting in Colorado
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) today issued the following statement upon learning of the shooting in a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado.
“The witness accounts coming out of this tragedy are absolutely horrifying. In the days and weeks to come, my hope is that the facts will emerge in the motives behind this shooting and that justice will be carried out. In the interim, I commend all of the first responders, join all Americans in mourning this tragedy, and will keep all of the victims and their families in my thoughts and prayers.
