Harkin Statement on the Passing of Iowa Broadcaster Mark Pearson
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) today issued the following statement upon learning of the passing of Iowa Broadcaster Mark Pearson.
“It was Mark Pearson’s outgoing personality and friendly face that greeted me for years at the WHO building at the Iowa State Fair. And his broadcasts of Market-to-Market captured both the business of agriculture as well as farming as a way of life. His untimely passing marks a sad day for farm broadcasting and the agriculture community in our state and across our country.
“My thoughts and prayers are with Mark’s family during this time of need.”
