132nd Fighter Wing Corrosion Control Hangar

Description: A new corrosion control facility is required to eliminate the current minimum required distance restrictions around the munitions storage area. Additionally, the proposed new location will more centrally locate these functions with the current maintenance hangar operations area providing a more efficient work flow. The project will also meet current anti-terrorism force protection requirements and will be LEED certified. The project will provide a hangar, shop area, and wash rack with treatment and collection system. This project will add another 9,000 square foot of usable space for the Maintenance squadron that has a current shortfall of 57,258 square foot.
185th Air Refueling Wing Security Forces Building

Description: Funds will be used to construct an addition and alteration to the Security Police facility to meet square footage requirement & fit new floor plan to include concrete footings, structural steel, roof, brick veneer, pavement and all utilities.
Boone Army Aviation Support Facility Aircraft Cold Storage Hangar

Description: This project will provide all design, labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct an aircraft cold storage hangar at the Army Aviation Support Facility in Boone, Iowa. Due to changed requirements, the units have changed and the total number of aircraft authorized has increased. This change was unforeseen, and the need to accommodate the increase in requirements is urgent, and cannot wait for the normal MILCON Process.
Camp Dodge Miller Armory

Description: The Miller Armory on Camp Dodge requires an addition and alteration to address needed repairs of HVAC system and controls, electrical lighting, latrines, kitchen, vaults, unit supply and drill floor. The Miller Armory is a 49,000 square foot building, built in 1976.
Camp Dodge RTI Phase I
Amount: $9,000,000

Description: This project will construct the first phase of a new Regional Training Institute on Camp Dodge. Phase I consists of living quarters for personnel serving at the complex. The 185th Regiment provides regionalized combat arms, leadership, military occupational specialty, additional skill identifier, officer professional development, warrant officer professional development, noncommissioned officer education system, Combat Lifesaver training and general studies training for the Army National Guard, to support the Wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and Army Force Generation training requirements. These changes in training requirements were unforeseen and the need to accommodate the increased requirements is urgent and cannot wait for the normal Military Construction Process.
Combined Arms Collective Training Facility (CACTF)

Description: The CACTF is a non live-fire training facility designed to accommodate the Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System for training purposes. The CACTF consists of buildings and vehicular and pedestrian circulation systems. Supporting features, such as overhead and underground utility systems, walls and fences, and streetscape elements arranged to depict urbanized terrain, may be added as options. This project is included in the Future Years Defense Program.
Davenport AFRC Phase I

Description: This project will construct the first phase of a new Armed Forces Reserve Center in Davenport, Iowa. Replacement of the current Readiness Center with an Armed Forces Reserve Center will allow the Iowa Army National Guard to vacate their current buildings; a shuttered 1916 building and a 1952 Readiness Center. If funded, this project will provide a facility that can support the readiness, recruiting, retention and training of the assigned soldiers of the Iowa Army National Guard. Proper and adequate training, maintenance, storage, and administrative areas will ensure the attainment of required mobilization readiness levels. The National Guard's secondary mission of executing the orders of the Governor in times of emergency will also be enhanced by providing an additional adequate facility for emergency response to respond to a natural or man-made disaster, or in response to a national emergency or crisis. The new facility is needed to meet current standards for the recruitment, retention, and training of soldiers.
Iowa City Motor Vehicle Storage Building, Simulation Center and Helipad

Description: Funds will be used to construct a stand-alone simulation center for the Iowa City Readiness Center to create a regional site for simulation training, a Motor Vehicle Storage Building, and a helipad. Integrate all site-work, parking and driveways for these three projects to complete the Iowa City Readiness Center compound.
Joint Forces Headquarters renovation/backup generator

Description: The Joint Forces Headquarters on Camp Dodge needs an Addition and Alteration to address needed repairs of the roof, HVAC system, and an emergency back-up generator. The building is a 248,000 square feet and houses the Joint Forces Headquarters and State’s Emergency Operation Center which supports both the Iowa National Guard and the State of Iowa’s Homeland Security and Emergency Management. This project would provide for a replacement of the entire roof of the building, a new digitally controlled HVAC system, and externally, a new back-up generator which would provide continuous power to the Headquarters and State Emergency Operation Center through any power interruption.
Mason City Field Maintenance Shop

The Army has moved maintenance to a two-tiered system that increases the amount of maintenance, parts and tool capacity at each FMS location. This change was unforeseen and the need to accommodate the increased requirements is urgent and cannot wait for the normal MILCON Process.
Sioux City Armed Forces Reserve Center Planning and Design

Description: This project is for the “Planning & Design Funds” for a future Armed Forces Reserve Center in Sioux City, Iowa. The design funds are needed to determine the proper size, components, units and future site of a Joint Facility with the United States Army Reserves. The funds are needed to Master Plan a future facility in the Sioux City metropolitan area.
Sioux City Gateway Airport Security Forces Building

Description: This project is an addition / alteration to an existing facility. Additions include reinforced concrete foundation and floor slab with steel framed masonry walls and roof structure, interior walls and utilities. Alterations include a relocation, extension and rearrangement of interior walls and utilities. The floor plan will be altered match the addition. Exterior alterations will include access and circulating pavements, utilities, fire protection support, and site improvements. This project is included in the Future Years Defense Program.

Description: The project is a complete renovation of the existing facility to modernize administrative and training areas to meet the criteria for changes to Force Structure. An addition to the building will provide for deficiencies in supply space, vault space, and classroom space. The project will also address deficiencies in the kitchen, administrative space, latrines, electrical system, HVAC system, Anti-terrorism and Force Protection, Information Technology and telecom systems and a shortage of parking.

Description: Funds will be used to construct a stand alone building used to house various simulators used to train crews in weapons systems and to improve crew proficiency: consisting of a simulation room for emerging simulation technologies, with adjacent rooms for storage of simulation equipment, support equipment, training aids, office, restrooms and a classroom.
